Come join us on Wednesdays evenings from 6:15pm – 7:45pm at the church for a great time of learning and playing together!
Karen Lyons, our children’s ministry coordinator, had a burden for continuing ministry to the children of our neighborhood that was started in the park in the summer of 2009. In September of that year we began Pioneer Clubs, a worldwide outreach program for children that has proven to be a great success in sharing Christ in all of life with children in 1st through 9th grade. Each Wednesday night, our kids get to see the love of Christ lived out before their eyes as we study the Bible, learn practical life skills, make music and in general have a lot of fun together. We earn badges to show our hard work. We have opportunities to invite parents and families through a Thanksgiving or Valentine’s dinner, ice cream socials, and a special Sunday Service when Pioneer Clubs is highlighted. We look forward to meeting your kids at Pioneer Clubs.
Friday Night Live (Teen Ministry)
Our teens have joined together with Amoskeag Presbyterian Church on Brook Street to form Friday Night Life Youth Ministry. The teens gather Friday Evenings from 7:00-9 p.m. to fellowship, sing songs, engage in fun activities and study the Bible. All teens from grades 9-12 are welcome. Explorer Camp in July
Each year we host Explorer Camp for grades 1 through 8 during the 3rd or 4th week in July. It is held at the church but has excursions to DerryField Park in Manchester New Hampshire. Each day from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., a dedicated staff of CTR adults led anywhere from 15 to 30 children in a discovery of what it means to be a New Creation based on 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” Each day we sang songs, heard a Bible story, broke into age-appropriate groups for discussion, did crafts related to our theme or played great games on the open field. We had children from different backgrounds, countries, languages and religions represented, but all heard the simple story of Jesus Christ and how to have eternal life through faith in him. Friday night we invite parents to join us we’re we all have dinner in the park. Come and join us!
