Training

It was [Christ] who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…                                                  (Ephesians 4:11-12)

A disciple of Jesus Christ is simply a follower, one who belongs to Christ and by God’s grace lives more and more like him, though we will never in this life become all that we would like to be. Here are some ways through CTR that you can grow in your faith:

bulletOur Foundations study, an 8-week introduction to CTR, covers the following topics:
  1. What is the gospel?

  2.  What is the church?

  3.  What is Church of the Redeemer?

Feel free to call the church office at 622-1881 to find out when the next Foundations study will begin.

bulletChristianity Explored: From time to time we will offer a study for those interested in exploring Christianity or those who need a “refresher” on the basics. This study is also available in a mentoring format. Please call the church office for information.
bulletLife Groups (small groups that meet for Bible study, prayer and support): For information on our current groups, click here.
bulletOne on one mentoring: there are mature believers at CTR who meet one on one with younger believers or seekers exploring the faith. If you have interest in mentoring or being mentored, please call the church office or email info@redeemernh.org.
bulletLeadership Development: D.N.A. (Discipleship, Nurture and Accountability) is a monthly meeting for all those involved in leadership at CTR. We pray together, get into each other’s lives and talk about how we’re holding to our mission and vision. We’re studying the book Making Kingdom Disciples by Charles Dunahoo. D.N.A. meets from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the home of the Filicicchias’, 15 Tyler Drive in Londonderry.
bulletOfficer Training: Those that are in training for elder or deacon undergo a process of training in Bible content, theology and church government. At the end of this process those who have successfully completed this process will be examined by the Northern New England Presbytery and, God willing, be ordained as officers and CTR will be a particular church of the Presbyterian Church in America. Officer training meets from 6:00 – 7:15 a.m. on the 1st Monday of each month at the CTR office, 66 Prospect Street in Manchester.
